clarinelf: (ah ha! potato thing)
Aaah, I've been neglectful of this journal.

The month of February has been flying by. Only a few more weeks until college letters start arriving (I hope)!

My visit to/audition at Wooster was . . . Interesting. I had a run-in with college drinking culture, and a "blah" audition. The people I met were cool, and the campus is nice . . . But I dunno. The tuition there is going up by about $2500 next year, and I doubt that, given my crappy audition, I will be getting any more scholarship money than what they've already given me. I suppose we'll just have to see a) how I like Knox when I visit it and b) how much money Kenyon and Grinnell offer up.

This entry was brought to you by a dangerously spicy Habanero pepper, my most valient efforts at putting off my English paper, and the letter P.

Ahhhhh! So. Much. Snow.

I didn't think much of it early this evening, while driving my brother around and going to John's house. Judging by the state of the roads right now, though, I probably should have. It was insanity just trying to get my car off of the street.

Poor trees. Some of them were fooled by the weather into budding several months early, and now they get this lovely blanket of dense snow.

Today was good for several reasons, despite the brain-draining tests that took up 3/4 of the school day.

Good Things:
- Late start
- The cookie I bought at lunch
- Playing a cool new piece in chamber ensemble today
- Wooster scholarship stuff in the mail!
- Dinner with John, and dessert asking me to turnabout (yeah, we're doing everything backwards . . . hehe)
- Building a Chac Mool in the snow
clarinelf: (hurrah!)
I got into Wooster!! :) :) :) I won't know about scholarship stuff for another week or so, though. But, man. Hurrah! Three responses received, four to go.

. . . I'm still not sure if I have a first choice in this whole college dealie. The thing is, I'm too easily convinced - all of them seem fantastic in some way or another.

Anyway. Hurrah for three day weekends!
