So, prom was last Friday. I haven't really had a spare moment since then to do anything other than play Chicago music and sleep (and take AP tests), so here I am now. Wooo getting out of rehearsal "early" - 7:45 pm.

Anyway. Here are some

The group!

Tux jackets are warm. And make you look tough. Or something.

Playing frisbee with a saucer.

Soul patches that sprung out of boredom while we waited for our food.

And all. That. Jazz!

Oh, yeah - a meme I got from [livejournal.com profile] forkthief but haven't had time to do yet.

Comment on this entry and get a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why. I got "G"!

Grinnell - I cannot wait to get to college. Grinnell is amazing; the people and the atmosphere and the campus and everything. Named after Josiah B. Grinnell, the dude to whom it was said, "Go west young man, go west." Yeah, history!
Gum - I have an addiction, it seems. It's quite refreshing. The gum, I mean.
Gummies - a synonym for "Fruit snacks" in my vocabulary, one of the best foods on the planet. I once wrote a poem about them.
Glorfindel - the elf who was sadly left out of the movie version of FotR. Also, an elf in the Silmarillion. All you Tolkien buffs - is it the same Glorfindel? I know the one in the Sil died, but I've heard he could somehow be the same one.
Garden - John's mom has a nice one. I could never care for that many plants so successfully. I'd end up with weeds and a lot of unused gardening equipment.
Garden State - a GREAT movie. I watched it for the first time on February 4th. My default icon contains a picture from it.
Godzilla Eats Las Vegas - YAAAAY Eric Whitacre! What a truly, truly bizarrely awesome song! I can't wait to figure out how we'll dress up for the concert . . .
"Gun" - abbreviated name for a song in the Chicago soundtrack - "We Both Reached for the Gun". Has the potential to get stuck in my head for hours at a time.
Guest - Put the word "The" in front of this one and you've got the title of a Phantom Planet album/song. Both are highly recommended. And no, I did not discover them because of the OC.
Grendel - the evil monster in Beowulf, and the title of a book told from the perspective of said evil monster. He's a lot more likeable in Grendel, which I would highly recommend to all you book-lovers out there.

Aw, pretty Amy! You look so suave and debonair!
Eric Whitacre, whoa! You're so cool.
And I don't think I ever knew there was another book named Grendel. Will add it to my summer reading list. Beowulf was so fantastic!

Okay, gimme a letter.

Why thankyou! :)
Eric Whitacre = ♥
Definitely read Grendel; I found it really interesting. Existential, sorta. Very cool stuff.
Alrighty . . . I give you . . . "B".
